Wednesday Doorway: librairie

Today's doorway is La Vagabonde bookshop in Montbauron neighbourhood.

You are lucky that Versailles still has an independent bookstore. They are disappearing over here.

Book shops are struggling here too, and many councils are cutting back on the number of public libraries. Maybe the next generation wont need books as they are today???

Question d'age sans doute.

This looks like a great place to browse and enjoy. Our bookstores are disappearing at a frightening rate :-(

Funny name for a book store...

A super name for a bookstore! And the store window is very nicely decorated. :)

PS: Do you know anything about the CDP webpage? It seems it hasn't been working for a few days.

I hope that this place continues in business...the large chains have pretty killed off all our small bookstores.

I think I stopped here once to buy some books, but the darn things were all in French. So I said "Au revoir" and flew home.

Just kidding. Looks like a wonderful place in any language!
