La tour Marlborough

A distant winter view of queen Marie-Antoinette's hamlet. Can you spot Marlborough tower? (You have seen it in the summer here). No chance of getting any closer as the park was closed. For all the queen's hamlet posts, click on the 'hameau de la reine' label below.

Une vue distante du hameau de Marie-Antoinette. Vous voyez la tour Marlborough ? (Je vous l'avais montrée ici en été). Impossible de s'en approcher, le parc était fermé.

All you need is a very long lens. Then it wouldn't matter if the park was open or shut! :-)

That's a beautiful area even in the winter!

Re your comment about the spider web: It is quite real although I may have manipulated the colors a bit!

And I thought the French were sensible and logical. Our climate is somewhat warmer than yours and we've had a mild winter. However, when we get a good dump there's nothing more fun than going sledding or cross country skiing in Forest Park. It would never, ever close.

Intriguing little glimpse of the tower Ciel, looks like the sun is shining a little despite the wintery weather.

Very nice picture of the tower amongst all the trees. It is a long way to that spot so I am wondering how you got there.

After my recent experience with snow and cold weather I am sure to like more the summer version! Not your fault, though...

The hamlet still manages to look like a little palace.
