I hope this school doesn't glow at night.

This is so unusual and different from what one sees in the States. Being a former teacher, I'd love to see what it looks like inside ...

Looks like they've modernized the entrance and left much of the building alone. I prefer the original. They should stain or paint the concrete to match the building (easy for me to say!)

Maybe this entrance is built into a hillside or maybe there were a lot of stairs and an accessible ramp was added. Still, the door hardly invites us inside.

When «Louis» lived in Paris, he found Marie Curie's home - it was on l'Île-Saint-Louis.

LOL at B SQUARED!

That's a very modern doorway from your previous doorway shots. It fits for a high school though.

surprenante cette entrée devant le bâtiment, contrasme entre modernité et ancienneté

I like the 3 tall windows that look like doors to me. Watch out for that first step. LOL MB

Me donne pas très envie d'étudier..le beton et les barrières font plus penser à une prison, et le contraste surprend avec les banales fenêtres à rideaux au-dessus..Ravie de ne plus être lycéenne!

A fortress-like entrance!

Those windows above look more like apartments. Interesting entrance.

Your last few posts have shown a different side to your beautiful city. Much more industrial and sparse - especially the Grange building and this school entrance. Thanks for posting these, Ciel.

Poor Marie deserves something nicer to look at, I think. I do like the way they did the text, even if I can't read it against the dark doorway.

Also LOL B SQUARED!
