Weekend Reflections : au bassin du miroir

Two last shots of the musical fountains night show at the palace for Weekend Reflections, more specifically at the mirror basin. You have to imagine that the water springs, spurts and gushes in perfect tune with some beautiful baroque music! It is like a ballet!

Deux dernières photos des Grandes Eaux Nocturnes pour les Reflets du Weekend, plus spécifiquement au bassin du miroir. Il vous faut imaginer que l'eau jaillit en parfaite harmonie avec la musique baroque, telle un ballet !

Oh, this is wonderful, Ciel. I would love to see this and hear the music. I need to bump a re-visit to Versailles up my bucket list.

I've seen the fountain show in front of the Belagio in Las Vegas. This is rather more beautiful.

I can hear the music...I wish I could have seen the ballet! These are a couple of really fine night shots...I'd guess you had a tripod, right?

BTW, are you going to post any more pics of your time in the PNW and Quimper? I hope.

love the blue! years ago when i was a kid, sea world had a water show, it was called sparkletts water show and it was dancing water. my parents drug me to that show everytime we'd go. as a kid i found it kind of boring but i can still recall the coolness of the auditorium and the sounds and smell...lasting impressions!

They are both excellent, but I favor the blue. The illuminated water streams ending in mid-air is brilliant. Print it BIG and hang it on the wall.

@ all: it isn't very different from what it would have been way back in the days of Louis XIV and subsequent kings, except for the colours of course. It was a REAL technical feat at the time...
