Les soies de Compiègne

We are still stuck in the mirrors room of the Grand Trianon... More silk, woven at the end of the XVIIIth century for Marie-Antoinette's cabinet at Compiègne castle.

Nous sommes encore dans le salon des glaces du Grand Trianon... Détails de soie tissée à la fin du XVIIIè siècle pour le cabinet de Marie-Antoinette au château de Compiègne.

Fabulous! I noticed the other day that most of the fabrics covering the interior walls of Ajuda Palace are original.

I must have missed this post...it's been a busy couple of days although I'm not sure why!

I thought all of the furnishings in the Palace were fantastic and elegant and gorgeous so I'd assume the same would apply in the Grand Trianon - and it does!!
