These are porcelain fragments. They are all that is left of the porcelain castle (le Trianon de porcelaine) that once stood in the palace grounds before le Grand Trianon was built. I showed you the former porcelain building and told you about it here.
Voici des fragments de porcelaine. C'est tout ce qu'il reste du Trianon de porcelaine qui s'élevait jadis à la place de l'actuel Grand Trianon. Je vous l'avais montré et conté son histoire ici.

Amazing!! I'm so glad they saved some of the beauty! Terrific capture!
How incredible that there was a porcelain castle! At least these fragments are left, such an arresting photo, esp. considering there was once a castle! (Thanks for the good travel wishes:)
Very cool. I clicked back to your original post. Very charming.
Often, it seems, the best we can do with the past is resurrect fragments and try to figure out the pieces. But then, again, that is perhaps all we need to do. The past is past and the future is out there and all we have is this instant.
But here the fragments are together so we can't ignore them. And they reflect a lot of beauty so maybe we should be happy.
I'm going to click on your links now before I get in too much more trouble!
A porcelain palace! What a special idea. It is too bad that it did not endure.
Sounds like it was an interesting place.
Merveilleux details qui font s'envoler l'imagination avec ce personnage au milieu.
Even the fragments are beautiful.
I like how they display them.
Wonderful idea to preserve and exhibit the remains in such a way.
imagine being the person who assembles the puzzle, that would be interesting
Life is sometimes for=und in pieces. All good.
I still wonder who we need to thank for destroying this masterpiece...
chérie, thanks for the link!I didn't see at the time the illustration you shared, it's really beautiful!

That must have been an amazing palace, the colors and patterns on the fragments are beautiful!
The porcelain palace was beyond amazing Ciel, who would have even thought it was possible, also that these artistically arranged pieces are all that's left of it.
