Nuit des musées 2012 : bokeh


European Museum Night 'a passion for planets' at the palace: bokeh planet effect on the ceiling of the hall of mirrors!

I've seen a similar effect in St. Augustine at an exhibit about Columbus' journey to these parts...it was impressive and as I'm sure this must have been, although I can't imagine improving on the Hall of Mirrors!

Ptolomean or Copernican heaven? I've wondered where the word bokeh comes from (although I've never bothered to look it up). Sounds Turkish.

FYI, bokeh is derived from the Japanese word boke.
