Wednesday Doorway: classique près de la cathédrale

Another blue doorway near the cathedral. Yes, there are a great many blue doorways in this city.

Oui, beaucoup de portails sont bleus !

I really like this, Ciel. Wonderful color. The building itself is tinged with blue - why is that? And why would there be blue doorways near the cathedral?

People are blue over the sins they've committed?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist, and I know it's a dumb comment.

Hope you're having a good week!

Wait! Who lives at No. 21? Aha! Ze Bishop?

So what does the 'no' sticker on the door indicate? No more blue?

You are fortunate to have so many interesting doorways.

Love the blue doorway! I wouldn't mind that ornate balcony either! Bravo, Cieldequimper!

Is "near the cathedral" significant in the blue color scheme?

Every city has its own architectural heritage but, geez, we got nothing like this. How elegant. My city was founded by French explorers and named after le roi sant but conditions were, uh, rustic for quite a while afterward.

I love blue doors! Probably because blue and brown together are my favoirite colors.

hahahaha!!!! The word verification for this comment is "pookedip"! Oh, could we have fun with that 'word'!

Although this door is charming, I don't have much to say after the bison. It seems Versailles has mostly blue doors. . . .

It is a great blue door. It is so blue it faded more blue on everything else. I like it. MB

I love these huge portals, which often come in bright colors.

You are a great explorer of your home city. You see so much that is invisible to others. You are truly an excellent guide.

Love the blue doors--the entire doorway in fact. The doors are very large almost as if when open a carriage could drive through. Is there a courtyard inside?

Beautiful double doors. I wonder why there are so many blue doors?

What's behind this gorgeous door? Leigh

Yes, what about the sticker? Order must prevail! Pray tell, what is strictly prohibited? Leaving one's dirty bike parked here? :)
