There are several zebra crossings on Hoche place where these drawings have appeared! Seems someone wanted to emulate Jean Cocteau.

Risky place to make your art though...
This is the one of strangest place to draw something and it is even difficult and risky to observe the finished work. Nice and original though!

Hmmm. The artist has chosen an interesting "canvas." Definitely NOT the safest spot but surely one where his/her work will get noticed.
Does he work at night? What an interesting photo, and a great story. Art really is everywhere!

It is a novel idea but the artist's blood could become part of the drawing if he's not careful.

This mystery person seems to be trying to make his own mark on history! I'll have to read and see if I can figure out what the zebra crossing is!

@ Léia: no, actually, I haven't yet. What I posted was the Petit Trianon (see label). It is part of Marie-Antoinette's domain as is le hameau.
I have never seen that before. . . I guess it would be unique to do your art in a crosswalk BUT it will disappear when they repaint them and all will be lsot unless the artist also takes a photo like you did.
Interesting canvas. The art is actually quite good. Hard to frame though!
