October City Daily Photo Theme Day: Contrast

Contrast: it is sunny outside yet dark inside to prevent damage to the furnishings of the Petit Trianon castle in the palace grounds. The second photo is what you would have seen had you turned around. For more photos of and information about the Petit Trianon, click on the label below. The first day of the month is Theme Day for City Daily Photo bloggers, Click here to view thumbnails for all participants
------------------------

Very clever interpretation of the theme! Well done!

Very well done example of the theme. I remember those "blackout" curtains. Still, you get enchanting shifts of light in the building.

I can hear the stillness of the room and the feel the formal atmosphere. Certainly a different age- no rock and roll here!

Two beautiful shots but I particularly love the first. Fabulous and of course perfectly showing off Versailles.

Nice choice. I had hoped to do something similar but had no luck finding anything close to what you used. Very nicely done.

I love the contrast photo! It's atmospheric not only with the lighting, but with the details. Thanks for showing us the room, too. It seems so exotic.

This is a beautiful "contrast" photo, Ciel! Thanks for turning us around, too. What a gorgeous fireplace and mirror and bust...there are so many of those throughout the palace! We missed the Petit Trianon but definitely plan to go there next time!
