"Au chat qui prise"

Just opposite yesterday's restaurant "the smoking dog" is a café-tobacconist called "the snuffing cat"! I just didn't know how to take a good picture of the place.

Juste en face du "chien qui fume" que je vous montrais hier, il y a un café-tabac qui s'appelle "au chat qui prise" ! Je n'ai pas réussi à faire mieux, je suis assez mécontente de la photo, tant pis

What's with the bad habits of these French domestic animals? I mean, they get a bowl of water at your feet in restaurants (unheard of in this country). They want something extra from the tobacconist now?

That is so funny. I wonder if they are owned by the same person or if they are in a canine/feline tobacco-oriented competition.

I like the inside decor that matches aprt of the building outside.

The Smoking Dog restaurant across from the Snuffing Cat. What is next door? The smoldering parakeet?

Somebody had fun with the names, and I'll bet you could hardly wait to show us Part 2! :)

Oh, I remember this: it's just before Le souris qui pleure and after La grenouille qui rit...

Je me demande s'ils vendent du tabac a priser dans ce bar-tabac...Dans le genre noms de restaus ou de pubs bizarres, je me souviens avoir vu et frequente a Londres les pubs suivants: The Queen's legs a Holborn, et le fameux Hung, drawn and quartered, pendus, noyés et ecartelés, dans les Docklands.

The names of these two places really make me smile. ;-) How odd that they'd be across the street from each other!

Ca, je vois exactement où c'est! Quand j'habitais non loin de Versailles, mes enfants ne savaient pas encore lire et à chaque passage, ils me demandaient de lire les deux enseignes rien que pour rire encore!

You know that I would love to be there in this neat place! Adorable colours and chairs!
And...the name of it! Cool!

Delightful quirky names and delightful places to eat and drink I'm sure! The smoking dog restaurant looks particularly delightful :o)

Love the humor in both restaurant's names. This one looks like a very comfortable place to sip a glass of wine and watch the world go by.

These names are charming. So are the red brocade chairs.

Funny funny, all these names.
Of course, most of the world must know la Vache qui rit.
Lovely photos you have all week. I'm just catching up.
