Pie

Magpie Versailles pie
VDP remembers magpies from her childhood but it seems we have more and more of them, far more than when she was a kid!

VDP se souvient des pies de son enfance mais il semblerait que nous en ayons de plus en plus !

Seem to adapt very well to urban environments from what I have observed.

What a beauty! I don't know if they're in this area.

Same here, more and more. Aren't they attracted to shiny objects or is that an old wives tale? Taxi picture tomorrow...

Well, you are lucky. This is a beauty, and so far as I know, there aren't any in this part of Florida.

We have an area about an hour north of Santa Fe where you can see them. They never travel this far south.

Cool capture Ciel, heaps of them here too Ciel, they can be aggressive around nesting time.

Heard of them many times in literature, but this might be the first time I ever have seen one closeup. Ever.

They're all over EW but won't hold still long enough for me to get a good pic.

Magpies. I know the name but don't have any experience with these birds.

This is one bird I have never seen in person! I would love it if we had them here.
