She appears in so many places in so many forms ... but here she is clearly protected from the elements or predators. And right above a door of a building that appears to have no religious significance at all. Hmmm.
Re your comment on Ocala: Our Oak trees are too often filled with Spanish Moss. 'Tis yucky stuf.

protection contre le vol ? ou les pigeons ?
I'll assume the netting is against birds. I saw something similar today...
Lovely shots!
Pigeons!! Flying rats!
She looks all the more demure, behind that little gating! She has serene presence.
Too bad they have to put a screen up.
Does she need that fence to maintain the condition?
mais pourquoi les enfermer ?
Well spotted, and very well protected!
Those pesky pigeons :) still, she's nice and safe here.

It is a pity to see that netting, but I guess it would be much worse without!
I guess the netting keeps her clean and safe. Such an odd place for a statue.
A very nice detail!
The statue looks medieval but maybe it's just a reproduction.
Nice shot ! She'll never get out of there.
Christ, don't fence me in, please!
