Louis probably had more legroom and a bottle of champagne always close at hand. Still, we'd use this if visit the palace during our late-summer visit. We always seem to get lost between the palace and the RER station.
I will visit Versailles next time I go to Paris. Last time I arrived by train..... and that is so many years ago, so I guess I should go for a good look around some of the places you have showed us.
@ Perth: ah... excellent question! It would depend on traffic of course but I imagine that going from the Eiffel Tower to the palace shouldn't take more than about 30 minutes if you aren't stuck in a traffic jam.

Love that pictures on that bus. I would imagine it offers many luxury accoutrements to the hoity-toity traveler of which I wish I was one.
Ah, I would love to climb on board that one!! I'm with Lowell!!
I would like a seat!
Can I get a tiara with my seat ticket? That would really complete the picture:)
A distinctive looking bus!
Wow, we should have taken that bus to Versailles when we were in Paris. I hope to be there again!
K
I'd rather walk the streets with you as my guide.

I wanna take that ride and paint the town red, then go down on a bus and explore some more on foot.
Awesome :)

Hard to imagine the Sun King on this bus. On the other hand, he would probably appreciate the heat and air conditioning.
The King never had it so good. What a fancy bus.
That's the way to get around!
even your busses are golden!
I'm a bit sick.
I LIKE bus trips.
How long would that trip take Ciel?
The king probably didn't have a toilet in the back of his coach...
