Thé des Lys

A new tea shop has opened in Saint-Louis neighbourhood: Thé des Lys. When the owners saw me taking photos they invited me in! More to come tomorrow.

Nouveau salon de thé dans le quartier Saint-Louis : Thé des Lys. Lorsque les propriétaires m'ont vue prendre des photos, ils m'ont invitée à l'intérieur ! La suite demain !

It looks very elegant. That's a pretty funky arrangement in the vase.

That was neighborly of them, wasn't it! Looks like a pleasant place. Maybe a bit too feminine for my tastes, though.

Pretty and delicate but also warm with those yellow walls. I wonder how tea shops get by - they aren't selling high mark-up stuff.

People are proud of their things...and free publicity to boot. Love the color scheme.

I like it. The huge white flower is lovely, the lighting is good, and the chairs look comfortable and inviting. The top photo is quite elegant...a place for tea and relaxation. Good thing they invited you in as it will reap rewards I am sure.

When the owners saw you taking photos, they invited you in ... how I wish our city is as friendly !!!!

They invited the photographer IN instead of chasing her away.
I wish every place were like that.

How cool that they invited you into the tea house... so many more are fearful of cameras... of what, beats me. Now they get some free PR! Smart move! And nice tea house!

That is exciting news! I hope business is good and that it can stay open. In Charleston there are a dozen coffee shops, but the one tea shop we had wann't busy enough to stay open, sadly. I like the interior design in your image today.

Bob Crowe a raison, je me pose souvent des questions sur ce genre de commerce, raffine, elegant et si le service est de meme, les frais sont lourds...

Dainty and quaint are two words that come to mind. Nice soft light, too. You're providing the owners with some nice publicity which I'm sure they appreciate being a new business.

It looks so elegant! I LOVE it that you were invited in. :)

@ VP: it's the first time anyone has ever invited me in!

@ all: yes they do get free publicity on VDP but when they invited me in, they didn't know who was photographing their premises... With my point and shoot surely I can't be mistaken for a journalist!
