Blanc

Today the theme is white: a pretty antiques shop in Saint-Louis neighbourhood and a rare sight: the snow plough last Thursday on the Avenue des Etats-Unis.

Very nice white and quite bad white. By the way déneigeuse has a very charming sound...

The snow picture could so easily be on one of our streets right now, we have similar weather conditions!
Love that charming shop :o)

How elegant that shop looks and how familiar that snowplow looks. I wish you hours of bliss and relaxation over the coming days, CQ.

I love those decorated white branches above the store doorway. Enjoy the snow!

We have heard about your snow in our radios and TV! I guess you'll have a white Christmas this year. ;-)

I love antique stores - wish I could take a peek inside - well, you could for me with your camera lens . . . .

Snow plows around Paris - a horror. We're supposed to fly to NY for the weekend to see my family but there's another big storm heading east from the Rockies. Wonder if we'll make it, plows or not.

So it still hasn't warmed up! Brrrrrrr!!!! Was the transportation strike only for one day (as they usually are)?

«Louis» was in France over New Year's Eve/New Year's day in 1999/2000 when that huge windstorm hit France. For some reason, your photo of the snowplow reminded him of that.

Perhaps we should go into a cafe and warm up for a bit!

White is cool! :)
This shop looks a temptation, because I love lights!

There's white and then there is too much white. It is obvious from your photos which is which.

I like the white theme... although I hope we're not getting any of the white stuff for Christmas this year. I've had my dose already!

Ciel, there's a common misconception about global warming. I'm *not* an expert, but I do remember that when the scientists first started talking about it, they said some areas would first become markedly colder. It's really an imbalance at this point. They said the weather patterns would become unstable and unusual mini trends would occur before the general warming was seen as such.

Ok ok! There have been some pretty intense discussions about this on Facebook!

I love antiques - not that I can afford to buy - but I'd dearly love to "browse" in your antique shop. Rather an eerie feel to your misty photo - I like the truck lights aglow.

Belle ambiance sur la route par temps de neige. Pas genial pour conduire mais cela fait une belle photo.
