Les smartphones au cinéma sous les soucoupes volantes

Cinéma le Cyrano Versailles
This is inside the largest hall of Cyrano cinema and it was almost full for "the Revenant" two days after its release in France... Note the smartphones, some people (including the geezer sitting next to VDP) actually used their mobile phones during the film...

La plus grande salle du Cyrano était plutôt pleine vendredi soir pour "the Revenant" deux jours après sa sortie. Notez les smartphones, le voisin de VDP a même consulté le sien pendant le film...

One of the reasons why I often leave my phone at home.

I always leave the mobile in the jacket pocket. And try to avoid the endless commercials before the movie.

I like these pictures, very atmospheric...'phones should definable banned in the cinema, theatre, concerts, opera etc...

That's absurd. I guess it's important to get in one last tweet before the movie starts.

People should just stay home if they are going to do that!

Horrible manners. There are some theaters in this country that use radio jamming signals to disable cellular phones.

Unfortunately we live in an era where people have to constantly check their phones, maybe a fear of not being kept in the loop. Hopefully they had them on silent. I liked your "review" of the film.

@ Dave: it's the light of the smartphone that actually bothered me... third time round I asked the geezer to please either refrain from using it or move to another seat...

The ways we use mobile phones is insane. We've got people in our neighborhood out for a morning walk or run with a cell phone stuck to their ear.

Love your photos, though!

I agree Ciel, surely a two hour period without a phone is viable for most.. The interior looks very sumptuous, wonder how they'll change it?

I don't mind if people look at their phones during the "commercials" and previews. But it is really annoying during the actual film! And who pays to come to the movies and stare at their phone??

I always wonder WHY!

How annoying! The inside of the theater has a bit of an organic look to it.

je suis contre la présence d'utilisateurs "indélicats" (ou gros cons) qui se servent de leur extension pour pourrir le spectacle des personnes derrière eux

One more reason to watch movies at home...

Smart phones unfortunately aren't in the possession of smart people. Rude and aggravating.

Well, people are funny, aren't they?

I guess the movie wasn't that interesting :)

Oh no, is there nowhere safe from glowing devices anymore?!
