Au couchant

Let's take a break from the exhibition for one day. You know VDP likes winter trees... These shots were taken in the palace grounds a fortnight ago...

Courte interruption de l'expo "le roi est mort", vous savez que VDP adore les arbres en hiver... Ces photos ont été prises il y a quinze jours dans le parc du château, ci-dessous sur le hameau de la reine...

Smashing pictures Ciel, I particularly like the first one. You're right the sight of the bare branches of winter trees against a late afternoon or drama filled sky is hard to beat...

Lovely light in these shots!

I think I prefer the second one. Seeing the tree tops creates a stately procession.

The naked trees against the soft colors of sky, so beautiful.
And I love how French language says sunset.

Lovely evening light.

Yesterday's photos belong in a history presentation for students. They are stunning. Today's winter trees are "palate cleansing" and also lovely. Now, to go back and catch up on some of your other days!

Love that first shot -- wonderful capture with the sunlight bursting through the leafless trees. Nice!

Very nice silhouetted shots!

These are superb; a joy to look at; and fall into the "frame 'em and hang 'em" category!

Nice shots. Bare trees make great shots against pretty skies.

I'm getting sick of seeing bare trees here, Ciel, but your pics are lovely!
