Weekend Reflections: "Sky Mirror"

Sky mirror Anish Kapoor Versailles
Another one of Anish Kapoor's exhibits in the palace gardens this summer is 'Sky Mirror', a large satellite dish type mirror in which the palace gardens and Grand Canal are reflected! VDP converted the original photo to monochrome because she liked it but you might prefer the colour one so here it is below! All Weekend Reflections are this way!

That one stands out beautifully, Ciel, particularly in colour.

I like the black and white version best, it's seems much more dramatic to me. At first glance when I saw the picture I thought it was a hot air balloon...

I like them both but for different reasons.

It's a great take on the theme! Not sure, though, of the artistic merit of the enterprise in either color or b&w.

Yup. I am a color guy.

Love the black and white shot.

I'm a colour girl but I like the B&W too! I like this one a lot better than the other one that you showed us! ;-))

Lovely reflection in that curved mirror. Like the b&w version.

The black and white look very 1920's---not that I would actually know......

You know what I think of B&W... and of Anish Kapoor!

In this case, I prefer the B&W as the reflection seems clearer and I'm not distracted by the colour. ;)

Great great reflection, it's not a conventional but it's beautiful.
Everybody loves the B/W version, but I like the original colors..:)

I recently read something about this art installation. Both shots are great but, I tend to go for the color.

I like both versions! I can imagine myself seeing this and rushing toward it to take some pictures. :-)

Very cool! One of my favorite things as I search for reflections is the old reflected in something modern! Love it!

What a brillant reflection, it looks a bit mysterious to me.
