VDP still has a few shots of Toile de Jouy museum to show you. These are the modern takes on the famous fabric, all of which were creations for a 'made in Jouy' event in 2006! A gorgeous umbrella made my Hervé Matejewski.

Oh no, sorry, not finished yet! Bright and modern Toile below by Mat&Jewski, actually re-coloured from the original Louis XIV visiting the harbour of Cherbourg, which VDP had shown you on 31 March.

The fabrics are elegant and beautiful. I adore parasols, but both especially the one on top. What a beauty!!

Quite a flourish of colour, Ciel. That umbrella in the second shot appeals to me.

Could have used that umbrella this evening for a walk in the rain. Might have felt a little conspicuous under them, though. :-)

I need an umbrella lined with feathers! I'd be hoping for rain all the time!

Love the yellow chair.

Though I like the yellow chair and the Versace trousers, the umbrella is calling to me!!

That umbrella is the most frilly thing I've ever seen. Quite a bit of craftsmanship went into the making of that. I'll have skip the pants. Versace or not, too many flowers on them for me.

They all look amazing, but the first shot is something else!
