Le mois du Pol'Art

Le mois du Pol'Art Versailles
From 21 February to 21 March, thrillers are being celebrated in Versailles' six public libraries! There's an exhibition of crime fiction related art which VDP did not photograph because it's a bit difficult to take photos when people are silently reading or studying! It does give VDP the chance to show you one floor of the main public library though! You had seen the entrance of the library here, its staircase here and the exhibitions in the gorgeous former ministry of war rooms there.

That is a very nice library! I haven't been to our main public library in awhile because there is a branch library 5 minutes from my house and the parking is much easier.

That is a lovely library. Something about those spaces appeals to me. The quiet, the books, and all the knowledge that lies therein.

Much lighter in tone than the main branch of our library!

Fun display.

taking photos in library would be a challenge ... my camera has a very distinctive shutter snap to it ... my most challenging photos were taken during a church service ... it was at the preachers request and announced at the first of the service ... but I still had to be very considerate when I took photos.

Wow, this could be a library in Oakland. I guess I imagined classical French architecture, fluted columns, and maybe something doré. All public buildings in France are like that, right?

I have been reading so many crime/action/detective novels that I had to promise myself to read two other books of any kind before going back.

je crois que certains auteurs vont animer des librairies et la bibliothèque

I love that display! Very clever way to draw attention to the books on display.

I continue to be amazed at the love of books in France. Even I, the retired engineer, have been inspired to read some French fiction.

What a beautiful library.

The library looks so spacious! Both library branches in my town are small and crowded in comparison!
