Goûts d'Yvelines

Human carrot Versailles Goûts d'Yvelines
Last Sunday was the Versailles highlight of 'Goûts d'Yvelines' (or 'tastes of the Yvelines', the Yvelines being the administrative département of which Versailles is county town).  Tents popped up outside Saint-Louis cathedral and inside those stalls was a bit of foodie heaven with information, demonstrations, workshops and sale of vegetables, dairy produce, poultry, coffee, tea, jam, cup and various other cakes as well as cooking advice and recipes... Everything was local to the département. More to come in the following days (but VDP is sure you had already guessed that!)

Such a beautiful setting to be having a bite to eat in too!

Mr. Carrot should be on the watch for any smark aleck rabbits.

Wasn't sure he was a carrot or a chili. :-)

That's a fine-looking carrot! And the display area looks great - I love the high-peaked tents. It looks like a Toronto crowd with almost everyone wearing black!
But we are not the capitol of Canada. ;-))

Oh superbe!

Sounds like a fun occasion but, I'm not so sure about the walking carrot.

Beware the masked carrot :) Fun pics ahead methinks :)

Nothing like an enthusiastic carrot to brighten your day. It almost resembles a Christmas Fair.

That's great. I think all attendees should come dressed as their favorite vegetable. It would be very revealing.

Looks like a very fun event although I would balk at having to walk around in a carrot costume. This guy looks a little leery, as if Bugs Bunny is going to hop out and grab him any minute!

I hope that carrot costume was easier to walk in than it looks!
