Sapeurs-Pompiers des Yvelines, Centre de Secours Principal de Versailles

Fire engine Versailles
Two days ago, VDP showed you the fire station. Now, here's a look at some fire engines! The smaller vehicles are used for medical emergencies, you had seen them in action here. Cheers to all of them! Anyone interested in the fire service in France can read more about it here.

Il y a deux jours, VDP vous montrait le CSP de Versailles, il est grand temps de vous montrer les outils ! Vous aviez vu les pompiers ici. Un grand merci à eux !

The engines are quite workmanlike. A bit different than the ones we see here.

I should photograph one or two of them.

Nice looking trucks.

I hope to see these fire engines only at rest, never in action!

They look a little different than ours but they all get the job done. Fire departments are usually in charge of emergency medical aid here, too. I wonder how they got that responsibility.

A very impressive collection of emergency vehicles.

I'm glad they're red. It just doesn't seem right when fire engines are yellow or some other color.

We just had our annual visit from the local pompiers so we could buy the 2015 calendar! A very nice young man. I really appreciate the dangerous work they do. And I enjoyed seeing your shots of all that gleaming equipment.

Fire engines always look so shiny and clean..They do such a marvelous job, your fie engines do looka wee bit like ours Ciel.. We have a fire station not too far from us, I often think about stopping in to ask if I can take some photos.. of the trucks.. of course :)

Interesting how they are different from the ones in the US. Our 'hook and ladders' are all enclosed under the lift (http://www.chalfontfirecompany.com/apparatus.php) and appear to carry more people. Yours looks more agile, which makes perfect sense.

They look more modern than the ones we have here. My grandson is a little obsessed with fire engines, so he would love this!

I am only 2 short blocks away from a fire station so hear & see them going by all day. Ours looks quite different than yours!
