A very interesting art exbibition focusing on cityscapes is currently visible at Lambinet Museum (until 14 December). VDP really enjoyed the mostly mixed media works of Didier Paquignon, hence this rather longish post... Above and just below, Setúbal in Portugal is the setting for these industrial scenes. In the above close-up, VDP included the view through the window on the gorgeous façade of the museum.
Une très intéressante expo d'art intitulée "corps urbains : les villes" est visible jusqu'au 14 décembre au Musée Lambinet. VDP a beaucoup aimé les œuvres, essentiellement des techniques mixtes, de Didier Paquignon, d'où ce billet-fleuve... Ci-dessus et ci-dessous, Setúbal au Portugal, vision industrielle. Dans la photo ci-dessus, VDP a inclus un regard par la fenêtre sur la superbe façade du musée.

I particularly like the painting with the crisscrossing railway tracks.
Wish I had a chance to see this. There is an irony in depicting such grim scenes with bright colors.
I love every single photo and the artwork is wonderful.
I'm not usually fond of paintings of industrial and rough places but, these are especially good. I'm not sure why the the first one's from Portugal are my favorites.
Le grand rail est plein de symboles. Les couleurs ne font qu'ajouter a l'intensite des sujets.
I love the texture of each one, they virtually leap out at you!

The storage tank is oddly attractive, certainly not the expected subject of a beautiful painting. I love the crisc-crossed railroad tracks.

A fabulous place for sure. Lots of color in these paintings...they seem to verge on modern with touches of other types thrown in. Quite vibrant, whatever!
Enjoyed seeing this art. So often photography is prohibited at such events.
