Parc fermé

As usual when there is snow and ice, the palace grounds and all the other parks are closed... This is the view through Saint-Antoine gate.

Comme d'habitude quand il y a de la neige et du verglas, le parc du château et tous les autres parcs sont fermés. Ceci est la vue par la porte Saint-Antoine.

This is just gorgeous! So well composed and fantastic light on the path and the snow...and the blue sky--I love it!

Me again! Re your question on Images: the boulders may have been in the ground, but they were excavated and placed on the golf course for decorative purposes! :-)

A beautiful photo, with light fit to grace a palace.

Well done, Ciel. The ice over the cobblestones is marvelously photogenic.

Oh I would also walk that cobblestone, it is beautiful!

That icy cobblestone does look a bit treacherous. It's odd, though, to hear about a park closure due to weather.

Closed? Because of snow? Send the park managers on a visit to Boston, New York or Chicago.

I was wondering why there were no people around. Made for a great shot.

The light and the almost emptiness emphasise the length and straightness in a way they are not so startling on an ordinary day?

@ all: everyone is scared in this country. In this case, scared of lawsuits should someone break a leg.

I understood that snow and verglas can be very dangerous when I felt down last year. :( Fortunately I got only some "blue" but it could be worse.
*** It's a rainy day here.
Please Ciel, could you send some sunshine for me?
:)
Hugs

Those ice-covered cobblestones look pretty slippery, I understand why they close the park. It looks eerily quiet, almost haunted.

I love this photo Ciel!
It was cold, I promise you - sea was frozen:)

That's interesting that they would close due to the weather.

It doesn't look too bad to me!

Looks like such a great walk Ciel, but I see your point about the falling and the lawsuits etc. it's getting a bit silly now, but eh! what can you do!!

What a wonderful view! It's a pity the park is closed: it would be so agreeable a walk in the snow in that fine landscape!

This is pretty but scary. I fell on ice earlier this winter and sprained my ankle. Until it heals I will walk gingerly over such paths... or walk the long way around. :)

I always forget how easy it is to slip on ice. I was wondering why they would close such a beautiful park.

Ah! it is so pretty but I guess it's a safety issue .... beautiful scene from the St Antoine gates.

This looks lovely without people. You definitely took advantage of the bad weather! :-)))

OK, I've given up, no more verification words on my blogs! Now I understand what you said yesterday. Why have they changed it into such complicated reading??? Truly annoying!

Very pretty shot with the light reflection on the snow and ice. Too bad they closed the park; it would be great fun to play in this environment.
