Chez un antiquaire à Saint-Louis

Inside an antiques shop in Saint-Louis neighbourhood. This is VDP's reply to Grace's photo yesterday on Perth Daily Photo!

C'est la réplique de VDP à la photo postée par Grace hier sur Perth Daily Photo !

Battling antique stores! I like Grace's post yesterday and yours today. I don't have any recent photos from antique stores, so I can't join the fray.

It is so small. I suppose the building itself may be an antique.

Did you find any treasures?

The lamp is like a tripod !

Les antiquaires intimidate me. I love looking in the windows but rarely enter the shop. Brocantes are more my thing. Are there any in Versailles?

Interesting that the lamp is lit! The shades are quite lovely also. I wonder about you standing there to photograph all this...the shopowners should give you a special discount...

A lovely serene image complimented by the music which accompanies your blog. Thank you.

Ce qu'il propose n'est pas vraiment antique.

Just yesterday there was a TV program about antique shops, showing that a few smart guys do their shopping in the Belgian vide-greniers and resell in Paris with a fair profit... :)
God bless you!

Antique stores used to be fun 'cause once in awhile you could pick up a treasure that others had overlooked ... no more. The people that run these places know EVERYTHING about antiques! And the stuff they sell is usually very expensive. Still I love some things - the smell and feel of solid old wood, for example. Don't find much of that anymore.

So, where are you to see such a sunset?

Where ever we travel, we bring back new things that add so much to our world.

Looks like the place has been dusted recently. Are you sure this is an antiques shop? :))

I love the rich (and presumably expensive) wood tones.

The chairs look quite comfy, I can imagine relaxing in one with a good book.

J'aimerais bien faire les antiquiares un jour avec toi ! J'ai l'impression que tu les connais bien. Celle-ci est tres sympa. J'aimerais bien avoir une lampadaire comme ca. :)

These places can be fun. You never know what you will find inside.

Great post.
