The little toll booths are kind of quaint looking but their asking price isn't too bad, all things considered. I just went to a Shaker Village in western Massachusetts and it cost about 10euros if my math is correct. And the palace would certainly cost more to maintain.
Thanks for your comments everyone. 5€ unfortunately does not give you access to the palace, Marie-Antoinette's domain with both Trianon castles... It just gives you the right to enter with a car...
