Nice gate, it seems to have a few 'styles' going on in the design... Porchefontaine seems like an interesting area it looks very different from what we normally see in Versaille...

A nicely designed gate. We do see the fleur here as well.

Kind of looks like the Boy Scouts of American emblem. :-)

Very pretty! I love that shade of blue.

Nice metal work. It looks like they have placed a blue blind behind it for privacy!

A highly recognizable French icon. Very appropriate for the gate!

I love it! We have a lot of fleur-de-lys around our house. One of my favourite motifs.

I always think of flour-de-lis as an elegant and royal symbol.

One of the most recognised of all French emblems Ciel, looks good but somehow I think it might be better clear of a backing.

I like the fleur-de-lis, the spiral twisted metal is an elegant touch.

Are those venetian blinds attached to the fence?

@ Wayne: you could be right, I hadn't noticed!

It looks strong and sturdy, rather old, and quite French.
