VDP's last stop for the European Night of Museums last weekend was the Gallery of Sculptures and Casts located in the small king's stables and housing casts from the Louvre museum and original sculptures of the palace gardens. VDP had already shown you the place (see statues and casts here) but returned simply because she loves those stable arches and they were lit in blue for the evening! For info about the huge Dioscuri cast click here!

What a fabulous place, I love those arches and the blue lighting looks terrific it creates a wonderful atmosphere. I particularly like the third picture with the horse, wonderful stuff...
I do remember this place from a previous post. Very impressive and what a fantastic collection. So, who needs the Louvre? ;)
Very colorful.
I remember when you showed us this before but I love it with the blue light, Ciel! Fabulous.
What a beautiful place. Love both of these.
Those arches are spectacular, especially contrasted against the plaster. Beautiful colors and gorgeous art! Your shots are wonderful, too.
un éclairage bleu intéressant...
bon WE
They are certainly very striking, and number one can definitely strike a pose!
Just to see the color-lit arches, without the sculptures, would have been enough. Beautiful.
This is a place I can love, for the sculptures and also for the place itself... A bit like the Bargello museum in Florence.
These are wonderful! Love your angles captured here..
What a gorgeous place. I can see why you would want to go back many times.
I do recall the place- the lighting adds a whole different atmosphere!
the light adds magic to the art
thank you for sharing
It's hard to imagine that those were just the stables.
If I lived nearby O would want to return to this place over and over.
I'm very happy you went back for these shots Ciel, j'adore arches and bleu arches, oh la!
