L'entrée des élèves

This year, VDP has shown you loads of pictures of Hoche school (click here to see them all). This is the back of the school, the pupils' entrance! These photos were taken the weekend before last.

Satory

Ten days ago, we had a very, very warm day. It doesn't look like a warm day! VDP had intended to go to the palace but turned back when she saw the crowds... Instead, she went to Satory, the military zone of Versailles, a long succession of barracks and high security buildings, including that of the GIGN, the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group. You had previously seen a Gendarmerie building on VDP here.

Il y a dix jours, il faisait chaud, bien qu'on ne dirait pas sur ces photos. VDP avait l'intention de se rendre au château mais a fait demi-tour vu le monde ! Elle est allée se promener au camp militaire de Satory, où est basé notamment le GIGN...

Terrasses prises d'assaut

We've had a few lovely days mid-March... Though still cool, it was possible to sit outside to have a drink. These photos were taken Avenue Nepveu with the palace in the background of the first three shots, Saint-Louis cathedral in the fourth one. The last shot is the avenue VDP had shown you waiting for spring scenes from Avenue Nepveu here and there, this last one less than a month after VDP began...

Bon lundi de Pâques ! Mi-mars, quelques belles journées, quoique encore fraîches... Photos prises un samedi en fin de journée. VDP vous avait montré l'attente du printemps Avenue Nepveu ici et là...

Isn't this gorgeous? It's an Eastern white pine and can be found in the grounds of Petit Trianon castle!

It's been such a wet winter so far... Seen in the antiques passage... VDP is away for the weekend, a post is scheduled for tomorrow, catch up later!

It was another rainy weekend... Saturday on Avenue de Paris... with barely visible daffodils...

Le pavillon français écrasé par le ciel

The French Pavilion at Petit Trianon castle is almost dwarfed... You had seen it in detail in the summer here. Another winter shot, but from the other side, can be seen here.

Let's take a break from the exhibition for one day. You know VDP likes winter trees... These shots were taken in the palace grounds a fortnight ago...
