J'adore ces vieilles pubs, ici pour Byrrh près de la gare de Chantiers. Il y a un petit coeur sur Artsy Versailles.

This statue, which stands at the end of the Swiss lake, is a copy of Bernini's and Girardon's work 'Louis the 14th as Marcus Curtius'. The original statue is now kept inside the palace orangerie.
The Versailles centre of the French National Institute for Agricultural Research is located on the road to Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole. There's graffiti on Artsy Versailles.
Hopefully not falling into even more disrepair... Today it might well be that I will not be able to visit your blogs. Apologies for that. There is a father's day post on Artsy Versailles.
Madame Elisabeth's orangerie in Montreuil neighbourhood is the venue for an exhibition about parcs and gardens in the Yvelines department of France of which Versailles is county town. It is very refreshing but alas, photos are not allowed inside... More about the historic building here.
As seen near Madame Elisabeth's orangerie in Montreuil neighbourhood. There is a nasty face on Artsy Versailles.
An actress of the play I've been telling you about all week is reflected in a window of the Italian Musician's building for James' Weekend Reflections.

June is Molière month in honour of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, the great playwright a.k.a Molière. Every day there are plays and music at various venues in the city, some free, some not. Here, last Sunday, Molière's 'Scapin's deceit' by l'Académie Internationale des Arts du Spectacle in the Italian Musicians garden which I told you about here.
On Saturday evening, it was like Götterdämmerung or 'Twilight of the Gods' above the palace before torrential rain came down for a few minutes...
I'm sure you can tell me what this is, right? There are tree shadows on Artsy Versailles.
So... here are two full views of what I was showing you here in a hurry. The top photo is in the palace gardens, the bottom one in front of the palace. Art by Bernar Venet on exhibition until 1 November 11.
First day of the month is Theme Day: 'under construction'. So, last Sunday, I drove off in the car, I knew something under construction would be hard to find. Restoration or renovation would have been easy-peasy, but not construction. I drove, drove, drove and finally saw this scene in Notre-Dame neighbourhood. I believe there's a hole behind the construction fence destined to keep prying eyes and feet out. The blue door at the end of the street is Notre-Dame cemetary which you can find by clicking on the 'graveyard' label below. Happy June! Click here to view thumbnails for all participants
