The food looks tempting and the chairs look too comfortable!
VERY comfy looking chairs.
That looks fabulous...
I'm starving and this looks so good, Ciel! I better go and eat something.
Looks wonderful!
The bread and wine sounds perfect.
I'd certainly give it a try but no bacalao, please. Salt cod dry and thin as paper. You can do better.
Oh my, my mouth is watering. The place looks so inviting and the food looks so delicious!
You certainly know how to photograph food! This looks like a great place!
What about a Fado singer to make the saudade complete. Lisbon is a fabulous town, can not understand how one can move away and leave.
Portugeses fish dishes are fantastic. I dont like sitting in low chairs and eating though.
It's a beautiful restaurant and the food looks delicious!
tu donnes envie d'y aller
@ Dave: I don't either. Good thing that there are normal chairs in the restaurant!
You know how small Portugal is, with its population of just 10 million, but the variety from north to south in what concerns landscapes, climate, architecture and food is amazing. Foreign tourists love the food and you can see thyem "licking their fingers" in restaurants! :-)
I don't know the wine you chose but the Douro Valley is one of our best wine regions which was granted UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
That restaurant is called "saudade". There is no translation for such a word but it means longing/yearning.
Glad you enjoyed it! :-)
That is a very relaxing looking place, with mouthwatering looking food too!
Sounds like a plan!
Such fun photos of food. And I even like the wall.
Schaut gut aus, rück mal was rüber ;-)
Evocative name, great cuisine, lovely place!
Saúde! to all
Jose is on his way. The only problem I see is that the seating is kinda tight. I hate to share my conversations with a half-dozen other diners. :)
@ L., you'll have a hard time finding somewhere to eat here then! ;-)
Très très appétissant
I could be overstuffed, just like the chairs :-) Great foodies!
You eat some of the most delicious-looking food!
I think I can go get some wine, but I doubt that I can match the ambiance and menu.
