Le tacot du Boeuf à la Mode

Old car Versailles Boeuf à la mode
Seen last week on the queen's boulevard. Dunno what it is... Update: thanks to the comments, VDP now knows that this is a Juva 4! The restaurant that owns it was photographed here!

Whoever owns it keeps it in great shape!

It's a lovely vehicle. I'd guess it's from the 1930s as it looks a lot like my first car, a 1937 Chevy.

I don't quite understand why it is parked facing a different direction than the cars behind it. Maybe it's a Versailles thing? :)

They didn't put a name on it but if it has a hole for a crank so it is probably 1940s or so. It would be fun to drive around your streets I expect.

It's in better shape than my late model car.

Very retro looking, your last photo probably puts it back into its original era too!

@ Lowell: this is the only one parked in the right direction on that side of the road!

Une Juva 4 comme celle de mon enfance! Nous en avion une... Une belle facon de faire remonter les souvenirs apres un retour au bercail.

Hi Ciel: Re your not-knowing about bedliners: Many pickup truck drivers want to protect the bed of the truck so they buy special rubber/plastic bedliners, but there is a spray which can be used to put a protective coat on the bed of the truck.

BTW, this stupid spell-correction thing kept changing "bedliner" to "berliner." Thought you'd appreciate that!

Such fun! I can see some elegant woman getting out of it in the 30s.

Ciel: Re the parking position: There is always, always, some clown who doesn't get the word! :)
