Reflections on the floor and in a large mirror at le canard d'or ('the golden duck') Chinese restaurant. As they go, this isn't a bad one. Most Chinese restaurants have morphed into not very good Japanese places nowadays because sushi is in and unfortunately it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a decent Chinese place... The orange peel duck was okay! More Weekend Reflections are this way.

Delicious looking. Of course, I've got a soft spot for rice.
Creative reflections, Ciel!
The place looks inviting.
Ah, very inviting indeed -- food and reflections!! I'll take some of each! Have a great weekend, Ciel!
It does look delicious! The floor is pretty too. I hope it is not too slippery though!
Yummy. Looks like a nice place.
Interesting observation about Chinese restaurants morphing into Japanese. I haven't observed that, though I do see some restaurants offering foods from several different countries.
Ah, a Chinese place. Now I get it. Most allegedly Chinese food here is fried junk (and so becoming quintessentially American).
This looks like a classy place. I've noticed that a lot of Asian restaurants these days offer dishes from several Asian countries.
Looks like a nice, bright place to have a Chinese dinner. And that is some shiny floor !
I bet I'd enjoy eating there!
I would love to eat there!
That Chinese into Japanese thing is happening here to, but I have never set foot in any of these places...
A very nice looking place, food looks pretty good too ;-)
wonderful reflections on the floor. funny about the chinese morphing into japanese because it is the same here...you can get sushi at the chinese restaurant..i thought it was just because they figure people from roanoke don't know any better lol
Very interesting. I like all th chairs in the previous post.
We are at the ranch for a few days. We are actually house sitting but we will be hiking and looking at stuff. We have to feed the dogs and cats but best of all we have a bottle baby (calf) to feed and play with. MB
what a great shiny floor!
The duck may not be the best, but the floor shine is! Restaurants here are also trying to be "trendy" and forget what made them good.
Looove the reflections Ciel, not sure about the 'just ok duck' :) We have a Chinese restaurant at our local shops that people come miles for, its not posh or anything.. just excellent food.
Une enseigne de restauration asiatique, quel endroit parfait pour trouver de magnifique reflets... J'espère que la nourriture est aussi bonne que le decor brille, ma chère...
Bon appétit !
Lovely reflections in both floor and mirror. Really good Chinese restaurants are rare and to be treasured. Not noticed the morphing into Japanese sushi restaurants in the Midwest, but trends are slow to arrive here. We do have a new sushi place in town, but it only serves Japanese food.
un sol laqué, je suppose ?
We have a huge population of Chinese immigrants here so it is very easy to find real, excellent, Chinese food.
Looks like a comfortable place, with also a creative reflection :)
Looks like a great place to eat and well spotted that reflection on the floor. Hope you have a great weekend.
The shine on that floor is amazing and looks so clean. I would love to eat there.
I'd love to taste the food but only after taking some reflection photos. Nice one ciel!
Definitely a few nothches above our typical chinese place!
