Un dimanche

Madam was embroidering on a lazy Sunday afternoon in Madame Elisabeth's domain. This was 10 days ago because last Sunday it was freezing cold and raining...

Madame brodait dans le parc du domaine de Madame Elisabeth. C'était il y a 10 jours parce que dimanche dernier, on pelait de froid et il tombait des hallebardes...

I happened to see Seurat's Un dimanche après-midi à l'Île de la Grande Jatte at the Art Institute of Chicago on Sunday. To be on the green on a sunny summer Sunday afternoon. Pure pleasure.

There is something very gentle and peaceful about that first photo.

Cold there? I just had two weeks of unbeatable weather to the east of you.

I hope she had a comfortable place to sit, and that the bees left her alone.

Your photo is like an old masterpiece and should be in the museum.

My thought was the same as Dina's! This is something like what you see at a museum in Paris. Of course, you could frame it and hang it in your home! So well done, Ciel!

You captured a lovely moment here Ciel, your weather seems to be a little 'unpredictable' at the moment :)

Are you sure you took that picture and that it is really a wonderful painting. It is glorious. Well done. I like the other blue picture too. MB

I recognize this kind of weather, here is sunny, but still quite cool and windy.

She knew how to make the most of a beautiful day! I love that it could almost be a scene from long ago... Beautiful flowers too, hope the freezing cold was a passing thing.

The top shot is so beautiful. If the lady had less cloths on it could be a David Hamilton's shot from his 70's 'on the nature' period! :-)
