Demain c'est le solstice d'été. Voici le soleil sur les grilles dorées du château (pour le roi soleil) et un coucher de soleil de juin (photo prise vers 21 h 30 la semaine dernière) pour le thème de la mi-mois de la communauté des blogueurs City Daily Photo, à savoir le "festival du solstice". It's kind of a bummer that the very first day of Summer is the longest day, shouldn't it be in, like, August? I like the gates and the sunset is gorgeous.
I do remember that stylized sun on the palace gates. And that sunset is magnifique!
Re your question on Cedar Key: Yes, it doth look like a whale, which is rather curious as I don't think there are any whales in the Gulf of Mexico near Cedar Key.
I remember this beautiful Sun King Ciel, spectacular sunset also. Bravo, beautiful post for the theme. It would have been so nice if Aimee and I had known you before we came to Versailles oui :)
