Should this young lady who was getting ready to take her wedding photos on Avenue de Saint-Cloud really marry? There's that 'stop' sign right behind her! This cool scene was caught by Dominique Daudon who kindly sent me the photo to publish. What's happening to me? A photo of a person without her consent and without blurring the face???

Haha, I like your take on the implications of that stop sign:) Love the photo (and thanks to Dominique) - it might not be what you'd normally do, but it's great slice-of-life street photography. (There's an interesting NYTimes article on street photography & privacy - so many sides to the debate! http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/04/23/paris-city-of-rights/)
Getting a bit loopy, Ciel? I'm glad you broke your rule. This shot is wonderful.
thanks to the photographer, Dominique Daudon, hopefully she asked permission :) it is a great shot, especially with the stop sign, thanks for sharing
That's a beautiful shot. I like the softness.
I really like the implied meaning in this shot! Clever!
I like this one, Ciel. Compliments to your photographer friend.
At least in the USA, non-commercial use of the images of people who are out in public is just fine. No idea about French law. I have always thought your approach is very conservative, but if that is what makes you comfortable, . . .
And, yes, on Monday the temperatures here were about 24 Celsius. By this weekend it will be 29 - 33 Celsius.
la mariee est belle, mais c'est vrai que le fond de la photo n'est pas tres glamour pour une photo de mariage, a moins que ce soit le theme du photographe
Great shot. I like how her dress and top mirror the red and white stop sign.
It's a beautiful picture!I like spontaneous moments in images!
Léia
certains veulent des photos dans la nature pour immortaliser le jour de la mariage. d'autres préfèrent peut-être un environnement très... urbain. ;-)
It certainly makes for a fantastic image!
il faudra lui montrer dans quelques années pour lui demander son ressenti
Oh fab! Let's hope that Stop sign is not an omen Ciel haha! I'm sure not this gorgeous bride looks tres happy. Bravo Dominique on capturing a beautifully spontaneous moment in time!
This looks like a shot for a fashion editorial. Just great, Ciel!
oh that is funny, hope it isn't a warning of what's to come! great photo!
ah, but so lovely, she could not complain.
Very nice shot. Her red jacket really stands out with the white wedding gown. I guess anyone's feelings about marriage depends on their level of cynicism regarding such unions. Although, from my perspective, I think it is usually a better deal for the male than the female.
Hard to miss! The stop sign goes well with the jacket... or the other way around!
She's lovely but should she or shouldn't she? Hmmm. The privacy issue is like discussing religion or politics, there's no clear answer.
skirt like a cloud of light ~
Okay ... a range of opinion in here ... depending on the laws of the country in which one lives ...
