Esprit Jardin: les statues vivantes

The two living statues at the 'Esprit Jardin' (garden spirit) event. This is another photo that just didn't do well in colour...

Vous les aviez vues de loin ici. C'est encore une photo qui ne passait pas trop en couleurs...

It looks so marvelous in B&W it's hard to imagine it not working in colour. I'm fascinated by these living statues, I like the human element they add...and I could never do what they do!

Statues are usually made out of cement or marble or some other monochrome so it makes sense that "living" statues look more real in mono also! Nicely done. I would have enjoyed this a lot!

Walking today!

how long did they have to stand in a particular pose...the idea is intriguing but not one I'd enjoy trying :)

This is great, Ciel!! I, too, have been fascinated with these living statues! Terrific captures -- B&W or color!

But it's great in B&W. Man Ray could have shot these.

Those are fun.

Moi, ils (elles) m'angoissent toujours! Le N&B donne de la distance, tant mieux! :o)

This time I do not agree: these 'statues' look too much contemporary for B&W... Obviously IMHO!

Nicely shown here Ciel, they are really amazing how they remain so still..next time try waving a Cadbury Creme Egg nearby and see if they can resist :)
P.s. can we see a little shot of how it looks with colour?

"Caught in the ACT"... I'd call it.
