The other day, I did go inside Musée Lambinet! But only to the newly opened tea shop where I took my Mum for her birthday! The painting on the right is Madame de Bonnefoy des Aulnais by Fritz Zuber-Buhler, ca. 1865-1870. The one on the left... well I dunno. It didn't say.

Deuxième Empire style in a modern setting. I sometimes wonder how tea shop owners make a living, selling little bits of modestly priced refreshments.
I guess the tea, cups and cakes were also very nice!

As you probably have already guessed, I am not so much for tea rooms, but I have to admit that this one looks nice, elegant and comfortable.
I am sure your mother would love this fine tearoom. Does she live in Versailles, too, or was she visiting you?
