Le nouveau trottoir

This is the brand new pavement on Avenue de l'Europe, now boasting benches. I had shown you the roadworks here last November. From what I gather, there is now optical fibre beneath the pavement.

Voici le tout nouveau trottoir de l'Avenue de l'Europe, agrémenté de bancs. Je vous avais montré les travaux en novembre dernier ici. De ce que j'ai cru comprendre, il y a maintenant de la fibre optique sous les pavés.

This is such a cool street perspective! I love the long lines converging, the benches to the side, the human element and the sweep of sidewalk. I hope those are (somewhat) blue skies ahead:)

It's fun to see the roadworks and the finished pavement. Nice-looking buildings with dark sky.

It is indeed great to see the finished product! As for skies??? we're still waiting for some blue that lasts longer than a few hours ever ten days or so????

I remember that post, they have finished it nicely! Just think, you are walking on billions of bits of data.

A few years ago they dug up half of our towns to lay optical fiber, but obviously they never completed the work...

P.S. - Very nice benches, by teh way...

Hope you get to take advantage of the fiber optic network. It's great for internet and TV! And it looks like they've done a good job remodeling this area. Nice trees and benches. :)

The before and after pictures offer a view of a job well done. Love places that offer a place to sit and take in the scenery.

Looking good Ciel, but the sky is looking incredible! Lots of rain in those clouds I bet. Here's hoping you have some blue skies over the weekend.

Nicely done, Ciel. What a great place for an afternoon stroll. And the benches are great for us old folks who need to sit down every so often!

The fiber optics are for cameras which are spying on you. Oui?

Me again. Re your comment on Colorado: As I recall, this was what was left of an old mining camp (house) from the 1800s. We saw several of them in the mountains.

I like this perspective. Looks like the city did a nice job with the streetscape. It's going to be really pretty when the leaves return on those trees.

Fibre optics, eh? I'd love to know what that's all about. :)
