L'escalier des cent marches

"The 100 steps staircase", leading up from the Swiss Lake to the palace, alongside the Orangerie. You had seen the statues here.

Il mène de la Pièce d'eau des Suisses au château le long de l'orangerie. Vous aviez vu les statues ici.

Aren't you happy to have this snow? It gives you a very different photo from usual.

I'm not sure I walked up those steps but I did walk up a lot of steps that made me breathe hard. I really like this composition...the fence looks like it's guarding the fresh snow from meandering folks who would turn it all to slush!

Wow, that is quite a lot of steps. Beautiful scene.

If there was a scene like this in the U.S. it would be covered with warning signs.

Nice! I like these winter scenes because we don't get much snow here.

It looks like an amazing place for a little exploration.

The intersecting lines are visually interesting. I think this fence is awesome.

love what the snow adds to this image.

Such a different perspective in the winter. I wouldn't want to climb those steps in the snow, though, especially in heels. :)

How different they look in summer with the blue sky background Ciel..Love the 100 steps, just think how good that would be for one's derriere oui!

Bergson me fait rire!
C'est fermé pour eviter les glissades intempestives?

Tanya Breese said...

be careful, they look slick today! love that gate!

@ Malyss : oui. Le parc ferme dès les premiers 50 mm. Mais cette porte est généralement fermée même à la belle saison.

I don't know why snow makes everything seem even more beautiful.

This place is magnificent in white carpet, and your pictures are fabulous!
Love that gate, something really classic and elegant ( if a gate can be elegant! LOL but I think so!)
