A l'hôtel du Bailliage

Last Saturday the Christmas decorations were still adding a splash of colour to the courtyard of the antiques district Bailliage building. It was built in 1724 and used to house the court and prison before the French Revolution. It later became the assizes court until 1839. I have found no info on this sculpture bench...

Cool capture! I love how the sculpture's modern lines contrast with the classic building. (The older photo was lovely too! I bet Colin Firth's family would have many good stories to tell:)

Somehow the contrast of the snow seems to give the stones a warmer glow.

Great shot, Ciel, I too, love the very "modern" sculpture in contrast to that very classic building!! It does look cold! Hope you're staying warm!! Enjoy your weekend!

This represents a person suffering the effects of much higher gravity.

The sculpture looks dramatic against the snow. It is an unusual sculpture and I like it a lot. Nice little pop of red, too.

Oh I love those smooth curves Ciel, a very sensuous sculpture indeed, and perfectly placed..

I love that sculpture. What a great addition to the courtyard - a fancy lady waiting coquettishly for her man. :)
