Is March going to be electrical?! For quite a while now, the Versailles Mural Art School has been decorating electrical enclosures on Versailles' streets. There are lots of them! Portrayed here is Jean de la Fontaine, the famous fabulist, and an illustration of one of his fables: the wolf who played shepherd. Happy March! AHHA ... these are tasteful, Ciel. Cara from Brisbane DP has a regular series of traffic light control boxes that the councils pay to have decorated by artists. Brightens up the intersections no end.

I am very fond of Jean Fontaine and his famous fables. I like these and suspect that many more are found around the city. The wolf as the shepherd is very amusing and somewhat sad. Are there any sheep left?

Our electric stuff is dark grey and ugly, but I have seen something like this in Rome.
This is a great idea! In my old neighborhood in Jackson, people would plant bushes in front of them. But I always wondered what would happen if someone needed to access them. THis is a good way to "hide" them in plain sight! Great choice for the theme day. :)
Terrific theme day post. The City of Sarasota started decorating utility boxes last year, but it never really took off. These look quite nice.

I drove tractors as a kid and had a terrific time. They're very dangerous, though, as they tip over easily!

Ceil, I not sure I have ever noticed a decorative electric box. I wouldn't expect anything else in Versailles.
