Wednesday Doorway: la grande écurie du roi

I have already shown you a similar scene here. It is the big king's stable on a performance evening of the Académie du Spectacle Equestre (academy of equestrian show) which you can read about here. The history of the big king's stable can be read about here.

This is a fabulous doorway appropriate for a king. Well captured.

At first I thought I was seeing a fire from the blazing lights. The horses above the arch are wonderful, and I like the luminaria leading attendees inward.

It really is the most magnificent door Ciel, the horse sculptures above are fantastic. I like the way they light the path leading up to the door, it's all just so special.

Love the mood of this image, especially the way the warm light glows, and illuminates the sculptures. The candles on the cobblestone are a nice touch too :^)
