Les tombes rouges du cimetière Notre-Dame

So Tuesday was All Saint's. I went to Notre-Dame cemetary on Saturday in the hope of seeing the usual All Saint's sea of chrysanthemums. Instead, some old tombs caught my eye...

Samedi je me suis rendue au cimetière Notre-Dame et ai aimé quelques vieilles tombes...

What an amazing red those leaves are. That first tombstone looks very, very old.

Was für eine Überraschung.

Lebendig - das einzige Wort, das mir einfällt. Einen guten Donnerstag dir.

Very creative photography! One does not see many tombs decorated in such brilliant reds!

Re your comment/question: Yes, we still miss her terribly!

Wow, what a brilliant red. It contrasts well with the old tomb, which is very spooky.

These are great images, Ciel.

I can see why these caught your eye. The red leaves are amazing. They almost look like they're crawling over the tombs.

Un genre de vigne vierge? Une plus belle alternative que le lierre.

I think it is that once a year red? It is worth waiting for.

Beautiful Ciel, very definitely an 'eye catching' scene. Love the Autumn coloured ivy!

Wow, what striking red color against the grays of the stone. Visually fascinating combination.

It's gorgeous, this old comb under autumn leaves!
You're right, I find doorways, gates and windows irresistible - well, sooner or later someone might get angry with me;/ Let's hope it will be later!
Have a great afternoon:)

Very poignant and lovely.

@ VP: not that I know of. Just overgrown and untended old tombs, which is both sad and right somehow...

Bon weekend
