So Tuesday was All Saint's. I went to Notre-Dame cemetary on Saturday in the hope of seeing the usual All Saint's sea of chrysanthemums. Instead, some old tombs caught my eye...
Samedi je me suis rendue au cimetière Notre-Dame et ai aimé quelques vieilles tombes...

c'est flashy, mais ca rend le cimetiere plus joyeux
What an amazing red those leaves are. That first tombstone looks very, very old.

Thanks for sharing it with us.
Very nice images.
Was für eine Überraschung.
Lebendig - das einzige Wort, das mir einfällt. Einen guten Donnerstag dir.
Very creative photography! One does not see many tombs decorated in such brilliant reds!
Re your comment/question: Yes, we still miss her terribly!
Wow, what a brilliant red. It contrasts well with the old tomb, which is very spooky.
These are great images, Ciel.
I can see why these caught your eye. The red leaves are amazing. They almost look like they're crawling over the tombs.
Deceased Cardinals fans?
Wow, a dear relative must have planted these in fond remembrance.
I love these both. The red is amazing.
Un genre de vigne vierge? Une plus belle alternative que le lierre.
I think it is that once a year red? It is worth waiting for.
Glorious.
Et bien , je prefère! j'ai horreur des chrysantèmes!la au moins c'est original!
elles sont abandonnées mais fleuries
Plenty of anthocyanin in them red leaves! What a lovely contrast to the grey tomb.
Beautiful Ciel, very definitely an 'eye catching' scene. Love the Autumn coloured ivy!
Wow, what striking red color against the grays of the stone. Visually fascinating combination.
It's gorgeous, this old comb under autumn leaves!
You're right, I find doorways, gates and windows irresistible - well, sooner or later someone might get angry with me;/ Let's hope it will be later!
Have a great afternoon:)
Very beautiful! I love the bright red in contrast to the grays.
Eye catching! Any peculiar meaning?
Cela fait un peu vampire.
Wonderful how the vines crawl up and over and then have such gorgeous red leaves!
Very poignant and lovely.
@ VP: not that I know of. Just overgrown and untended old tombs, which is both sad and right somehow...
Fantastic photos with the red leaves of autumn!
Bon weekend
These tombstones are so different from ours. And the red ivy is stunning!
This is amazing! Well spotted, Ciel.
I love that vibrant red. Gorgeous.
