Le Hameau de la Reine

This is a partial view of queen Marie-Antoinette's hamlet in the palace grounds. I will take you to visit it this coming week! Marie-Antoinette wanted to escape the busy life at the castle and enjoyed a 'simpler' life at her hamlet.

Fit for a queen for sure. Very picturesque.

Beautiful. Great light, sunflowers, sky.

I love the foreground; the yellow flowers lead your eye to the prize! I can't wait to see what goodies you have this week. I took my youngest son on the train to Philadelphia and took a ton of photos :-)

The palace grounds must be enormous!

I can believe life at the castle could be very hectic! Parties, parties, parties. :)

Imagine, a whole hamlet to oneself. Somehow I think she may have changed her surroundings, but I doubt life was "simpler". It seems the sunflowers are paying homage to the hamlet.

Nice photo Ciel! I really like the spot of light on the clouds. I think I like the look (and sound from your description yesterday) of royal life!

Love this. It looks so French country-side-ish----well at least in my mind. MB

Great light and colors, lovely place. She got an even simpler (and shorter) life inside the Conciergerie...

Nice! I am surprised that the sunflowers are turned away from the sun, however...

Thanks for visiting my reflection!
