Tennessee Williams au Mois Molière

When I went to run a few errands yesterday, I happened upon a stage. Remember it's Molière Month? Well, this was amateur theatre near the covered market, a loose adaptation of Tennessee Williams' works, called "sur la route de Tennessee", i.e. on the road to Tennessee. It was actually quite good stuff, by l'Atelier Théâtre des Deux Rives.

How fun to just come across something like this! The man in the second photo looks kind of Johnny Deppish - that would be enough to make me stop :)

Did someone say Johnny Depp? This is what I call "street theatre".

«Louis» remembers that Molière was a friend of Nicolas Fouquet and performed his plays at Fouquet's Vaux-le-Vicomte, including on the night Louis XIV had Fouquet arrested.

Love the experience you had and what fun captures. I went to the theater last night--no spontaneity on my part, but plenty on the part of the actors.

It must have been fun to watch, and the price was right, so who cares how good it was or wasn't.

This kind of thing is so rare here! What great fun. I would think, though, the actors would have to be on top of their game to do theater in the open air.
