Today's doorway, admittedly shyly hiding a little behind a tree, is the Montbauron 'ludothèque', i.e. like a public library only lending games for children rather than books.---------------------

What a fun idea-- a game library! My girls would undoubtedly be frequent visitors. I'd love to sit on those stone steps in the shade of that amazingly frilly tree!
First of all, I like this photo a lot...it's so well composed, and even if the door is partially hidden one can still see it is impressive.
I've not heard of such a library, but I think that's rather cool. I would imagine this includes video games...

That's a wonderful idea - never heard of such a thing in the US. Except that now you can rent (not borrow) all the violent computer games you please.

A great building and a beautiful façade, even if hidden. The staircase is just perfect for a place like this. We have some 'ludoteca' and they work almost in the same way, but they are anything like this!

Beautiful - I like it with the tree in front. I was totally surprised by the use of the building - it looks so historic and non-electronic. Lending games makes sense, but I hope they also learn the joy of reading. I've had fun with both.
@ all: as a rule, they actually don't lend electronic or video games! Traditional children's games like Playmobil for instance. You know, the huge, huge, immense castle that's too big and expensive?! You can borrow it here. They also lend to creches and schools.
Beautiful location. The picture of the residence in Porchefontaine (I know, I'm late...) is also impressive!

What a wonderful idea. I think I'll try to incorporate something like that in my community. Looks like that doorway is playing a bit of the hide and seek game itself.
