I haven't had time to go out and shoot new material since my return from Seattle but I did go check the daffodils on Monday. This long, long row greets you when you arrive from Paris on D 910 road. For last year's view, click here! ---------------------

Daffodils are such cheerful harbingers of spring. They make me smile and the fragrance is heavenly.

Un air de printemps Ah oui les jonquilles, je me souviens quand j'étais petit lorsqu'on allait en chercher dans les bois pour faire des gros bouquets qui ensoleillaient la maison pour maman.
c'est officiel, c'est le printemps, les jonquilles de Versailles sont de sorties. sur la premiere photo, on a une impression d'un chemin infini
il y a beaucoup plus de voitures que l'année dernière l'effet grenelle de l'environnement

La vosgienne que je suis toujours rectifie : ce sont des narcisses plutôt que des jonquilles. L'effet de masse est spectaculaire, original et pas déplaisant...

@ Halcyon: excellent question. I have never yet seen city gardeners at work there, so maybe they just stay in place.

A beautiful sight and the names of the flowers are almost identical in Italian. Replanted or not, someone takes good care of these flowers.

No matter what year, jonquils or daffadils are always a welcome sighting of spring.
It's funny seeing the same, or nearly the same flowers on the other side of the world. Our local daffodils don't have the big ruffly centers, though. At least not the ones I've seen this year so far. I'll keep looking. They must be here somewhere. I love your shot with the spring colors!

Des narcisses y en a de toutes sortes et même des tout jaunes !
Les jonquilles c'est rustique pour ne pas dire montagnard, donc petit et joli, il te faut regarder car si la taille de tes fleurs est uniforme, hum...
Voici une photo prise dans mon jardin l'année dernière d'authentiques jonquilles vosgiennes parfaitement intégrées à la RP.
